Loving and teaching ; counseling and consequences

Hide & go seek, board games, story time;

Running to bus, programs, projects, homework;1st days; new clothes; parent teacher conferences

Plant back yard in grass; mowing; grass & leaf raking; leaf “houses” and jumping in piles

Dance; T-ball, baseball, soccer, scouts; pack meetings, camp outs, slot car races; swim lessons;

Giving haircuts; play pen; box play houses; tents under pin-pong table

Shop downstairs large north east room; art, play room, family room

Rope swings, zip-line, obstacle course, tower, tents; hole, forts, pools, sprinklers, tents in yard and sleep outs; cooking sink pit; Basketball standard; our ice rink, ice slide, sledding, and skiing

Small yard: swing set, small rope swing, & sandbox for toddlers

Trikes, dirt bikes, earning full sized bikes; red wagon; Growing own gardens; peas & pumpkins

Bike rides, roller blading, bike jumps, kite flying, hikes, picnics, camping

Sewing clothes for children; dress with puffed sleeves and tucks

Playmates at our home; Garrett refereeing neighborhood games of basketball & touch football, Giving dancing and giving sewing & cooking lessons to neighbor kids

Work & play: tantrums & hugs; Work charts and rewards; Friday room clean up; treats and video

Dolls, legos, trucks, dress-ups, stuffed animals, crayons & paint; working with Dad in the shop

School time with Mom on summer mornings; movie in afternoon

Getting rid of plants and scented items in home; Make side entrance to home; not use front door

Move shop to downstairs middle west room; move Franklin stove to family room closet

David & Dad making down bedrooms, baby’s room, stairs to attic, rewiring, finish floors

Take out evergreen bushes and cellar; Take out many fruit trees, berries, and grapes

Take out old green livingroom carpet and brown kitchen, hall, & bathroom linoleum and finish existing oak floors; Put in washer drain line; fix front porch steps

Chalk drawing on driveway, tree houses (boards and trikes),

Play grounds, museums, fairs, events, Lagoon; Saturday errands;

Visits of Grandparents

Library reading programs; trips with wagon

Birthdays with pinatas, cake, & games;

Halloween costumes and Trick-O-Treating; parties; Carnival at elementary school;

Thanksgiving feasts; Christmases with making and giving presents to each other

Gingerbread houses, making felt tree ornaments; “colds” get artificial tree

Valentines, Spring with red tulips and lambs, Easter egg coloring and hunts

Art City Days, Pioneer day parade; helping in booths & making float

Hikes in Springville canyon; foil dinners; Shopping trips and summer study & outings

Fall picnics in Maple Canyon; deep leaves;

Evening reading while cleaning up kitchen – scriptures & fun books; Narnia and Oz

Allergies, illness, band-aids & injuries; Dad takes out splinters

fall from rope swing; bead in nose, all have chickenpox; special diets: cooking for Laura

Appointments with doctors, dentists, and optometrists;

Nientendo Video game; Mario; first computer- book with games used on TV

Friends: Mary, Tamra, Monica, Sara, Debbie

Move shop to attic; First “real” computer; typewriter with memory; Video recorder;

Basketball games with Dad; Dad make rules to compensate for sons’ height

Ward clerk; Primary teacher; Church: ward socials & camp outs

Starting writing poems; Family history and pictures; Display case in church foyer

Orchestra (boys play bass, girls play viola) & tours, Julene’s dance programs

Tears & laughter; sharing, excitement, togetherness

Four ChildrenDaniel born October 9, 1984

Sleepy after caesarian birth for next month

Four and a half years later after Laura; 10 years after David; 11 years after Julene

David happy to have a brother at last! 2nd family; doing things second time; scouts etc.

Our family is complete with our two sons and two daughters
