Our Family - Family Visits

1973

A few weeks after Julene was born, my father, John Groom, and his wife, Joan came to see his first grandchild. 

The beginning of September, Julene’s grandparents, Lew and Arlene Pearson, and her great-grandparents, Lloyd and Ethel Crane, came to Julene's blessing. She was also their first grandchild and great grandchild.

1974

We take Julene who is 14 months old and her one month old baby brother, David to visit their great-grandparents, Lloyd and Ethel Crane in Pocatello, Idaho.

1975

In April Garrett’s mother, Edith Conley Merrick (Grandma Merrick), came from Ohio to visit her little granddaughter, Julene and new grandson, David Merrick.

Grandparents, Lew and Arlene Pearson move to Pocatello. We made several trips to visit them over the next few years. 

Great-grandma Crane dies on David’s first birthday.

1978

Grandpa John Groom and wife and two children visit us for a few days. He brought a swing set for Julene’s fifth birthday and we celebrated her birthday together.

1982

Grandma and Grandpa Pearson, Lew and Arlene Pearson, come to visit their grandchildren. Jim and Kathy Groom also and along with Jeff Pearson.
