We always had a special dinner, cake, and presents for our birthdays. Often we made cards or made cards and banners on the computer. We also had a few parties. David helped me make a pinata for his birthday party. Julene played games such as pin the tail on the donkey at her party. Laura had her girlfriends over for a party and games (photo is waiting for them to come). Dan was given a puppet show put on by his brother and sisters. We tried to get cakes that were special for our children such as Julene and unicorns and a bunny cake for Laura.
When we lived in Mapleton we got the family together each season for a birthday celebration for everyone who had birthdays in that season.
Now, in 2020, we enjoy getting together to celebrate birthdays with our daughter's family who lives near us.
